Homecoming 2009!

Brothers,

We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with the lovely ladies of Sigma Delta Tau for the 2009 Homecoming celebration! Everyone at the house is very excited with this news and ready to get planning...after finals. We hope that you will be able to join us at the house this fall for all of our home football games for some great tailgating, but we especially would like for you to be here and take part in the Homecoming festivities.

Homecoming weekend set for the weekend of Oct. 10 vs. the Iowa State Cyclones.
Hope to see you there!

Spring 2010 Alumni Event

Gentlemen,
As you can gauge from the title of this article, I am attempting on getting a jump start on the Alumni/Member event for the Spring of '10.
I am looking for ideas of what you think would bring back the most alumni. I am also looking for a date the would work for the vast majority of people, I am guessing that with it being this far in advance, there should be very few problems with the date of the event.
Some ideas that have been brought up by members of the house are: Softball, BBQ cookoff, and some other suggestions. But as stated earlier, I am looking for Alumni imput.

April Alumni Newsletter

Brothers,

Come Back and Re-live Your College Days

The attachment is an invite and details of a get together that will involve Alumni, Members, and Members' Fathers. If you are interested, please either post on this site, or contact me at nickseaton21@hotmail.com.

March is Founders Month of Service

As an undergrad, our chapter made sure that each of us was active in philanthropic causes. Most of you were active already -- but the chapter structure allowed our membership to do even bigger things than could be done individually. The same "strength in numbers" approach still applies.

To that end, the National Chapter has organized March as Founders Month of Service. Please visit that link for more details.

Santa Harrison saves the day

Thanks to Phil "Santa" Harrison for springing into action as soon as he learned that the chapter house burst a pipe in the third floor bathroom. Phil immediately came by the house and personally funded some of the needed repairs. More repairs are surely needed, but it is too soon to tell the extent.

Santa's springing into action is especially impressive given (1) that the weater in Lawrence was crap and (2) Phil was supposed to be headed to physical therapy for his injured foot.

2008 Brotherhood Loyalty Fund Report

Brothers,

The 2007-08 Brotherhood Loyalty Fund report is attached below. That report shows who donated, what level of donation they made, and what that money went to in the last fiscal year. (If you don't see the attachment, then you need to login to this site which requires permission and proof that you're a Beta Theta member. That step ensures that your names and donation amounts are not shared with the public viewing this site.)

Homecoming is on!

Well, actually, Homecoming is nearly over, but tons of guys were here this year. The Hawks got shredded by Texas Tech, but at least the old guys won the golf tournament, yeah! I think it was John Kubitzki and Rick Little who dethroned the two-time champs Travis Koehring and Shane Hauschild.

Right now there is a big yellow trailer containing a stage being set up on the front lawn. It is for an upcoming video game called Garage Band that is similar to Guitar Hero, and the company launching the game has brought their trailer to the Phi Tau house for Homecoming.

2008 Homecoming details

Brothers,

I'm attaching the details for this year's Homecoming -- which happens to be our chapter's 60th anniversary. See you on October 24th and 25th!
