"On March 17, 1906, Borradaile, along with Clinton D. Boyd, Dwight I. Douglass and William H. Shideler, founded Phi Kappa Tau in Miami University's Old Main Building in Oxford, Ohio. While a lot has changed since the beginning of the 20th century, the ideals these four men founded the Fraternity upon still hold true today
Founders Day March 17, 1906-2008.
Today Phi Kappa Tau celebrates 102 years of brotherhood, learning, ethical leadership and exemplary character. Founders Day is one of the oldest traditions of the Fraternity, with the first being celebrated in 1907.
Throughout its 102-year history, Phi Kappa Tau has chartered 145 groups on campuses across the United States. There are currently 81 active chapters, four active colonies and membership totals 87,000 brothers."

"There is more to college than book learning ... there are, in addition,
friendship, fellowship, and plain old fun, and organizations
which supply these healthy leavenings will never be long
from our campuses."
- Founder Taylor A. Borradaile, Miami '06
