The group contains 84+ brothers and is growing.
Linkedin facilitates brother-to-brother communication.
Linkedin is not a bulletin board for information. It is not a newsletter. It is not one-way communication. It is not a web site. It is not a photo album.
Linkedin can contain bulletin boards, newsletters, host discussions, link to web sites, and contain photo albums.
Linkedin is a web tool to facilitate relationship, fellowship, and networking.
Linkedin is helping brothers stay connected. It is helping brothers to become connected. It helps you build new and renew existing relationships. It furthers brotherhood.
We use Linkedin because it integrates with our professional life. The content on Linkedin is professional.
The National Fraternity has a group with 1319+ members. The Phi Kappa Tau National Fraternity uses Linkedin to accompany the web site The Link to further brotherhood. Linkedin fills the strategic plan for the facilitation of fellowship and networking.

Full disclosure
I'm not sure I know what this really means, but the kuphitau.com site is also "consistent with technology encouraged by nationals to achieve strategic plans." Kuphitau.com is also what the Board of Governors created, sponsors and consistently encourages our members to use as the way to connect for fraternal purposes. Heck, we even get National recognition for doing so.
On the other hand, and for full disclosure, linkedin.com is a professional site and is not sponsored by the BOG.
